Very nice pics.
I think I have a case of garage envy.

I like the colour albeit I thought Aston racing green was a tad paler.
I feel the need to visit B &Q and get some paint mixed up for the garage door.
Best of luck with the sale Stuart.
Are you willing to divulge what you did to the Inlet manifold. I have modified my water flow but feel it could be better.

Hi Peter
i think the colour on the photographs varies, it is actually quite a pale green. If it isn't sold by then i will take Hawk to Silverstone Classic so you can check it out if you are going.

the manifold modification i did was recommended by someone who built and raced Rover V8's and is as follows (you can do it on the car if you are careful but i did it when manifold was off)

http://how-to-build-a-pilgrim-sumo.wiki ... e-plumbing

look for the bit on "Rover V8 and Edelbrock Performer Manifold Cooling Mod". i also fitted a coupling with a schrader valve at the highest part of the cooling system which made bleeding any air really simple (i have pics of this too if you need).

Thanks Stuart I’d love to see the car. I’m at Silverstone on Sat.
Perhaps you are correct it’s merely the photo making it appear a tad darker.
Ref the Edlebrock mod that’s a yes, I have drilled a 5mm holes through to both 1 & 2 water ports but I had heard stories of bigger drills being used. I have also added a 5 mm hole through the stat by way of getting water to flow earlier.
It mostly works but I still see the temp appear to rise following any exertion of the loud peddle. They say the Rover lump should run warm. E.g. 90 is better than 80.
I did wonder if the small bypass hole going into a bigger bore might create a Venturi effect which would then be taking water away from the stat back to the outlets of 1 & 2. I guess it still helps it mix and raise the temp in the stat housing.
