So does the chassis number appear correctly on the V5.
If so then you are in the clear having established it’s recorded as an MG Hawk.

Yes the engine number is correct as per V5, the chassis number is issued by the dvla is correct as per V5, HPI all clear and matches.

It would be nice to welcome you as a member of The 289 Register. 200+ members to get advice from and a magazine four times a year plus events.
If you do that then perhaps send in a photo of the chassis number and V5 to registrar@the289register.com and then I can validate the entry that is already in the system.
