Kevin, you may well be correct for original cars but we are talking replica and specifically Hawk.
Yes the later FIA cars from Hawk do have peg drive 7.5/ 9.5 wheels but earlier cars e.g. mine have the spline drive with 6.5/8.5 rims.
The advantage for those with a standard slab side 289 can swop from wires over to Ali without changing their hubs.
