Why’s that?
Winter time, too cold to play cars

Re: R.I.P. forum
But in Germany and other countries it's Winter too and the forums are busy! Play cars is doing something to improve or anything like that. Summer is just driving
Re: R.I.P. forum
Just checking for clarity: is this a moan about lack of activity on this forum?

Re: R.I.P. forum
You’ve got to remember that the 289 (while obviously the best cobra) is only a fraction of the number of 427 style cobras out there and even the “normal” UK cobra club forum is quiet. A few years ago, the web forums were the ONLY places to communicate with fellow owners, now there are all sorts of “social media” platforms.
Even on Facebook there are many cobra related groups and these are fairly busy most of the time. I guess most people have migrated over there and the only people left are those who “don’t do Facebook” or those who are across both…….just the way of the world now I guess.

Re: R.I.P. forum
I think you are correct Simon. I belong to three clubs and the what’s app system for another local club is so busy I can’t keep up with all that’s being discussed.
Perhaps 289’s are just busy building.
I confess I haven’t done any work on mine since replacing the fuel pump and regulator following my Silverstone breakdown.

Re: R.I.P. forum
Well the other reason could be the demographic: winter and hospitals can also be a busy time
Re: R.I.P. forum
I agree with Migge. Whilst I do not think the forum is dead yet, compared with some years ago, it appears to be floundering. For a club which appears to be increasing in membership, the number of regular posters have dwindled to a handful. Here's hoping things will improve.
Cheers, Clive.

Perhaps individual thread content can be mirrored elsewhere?

Forum related question
Are non club members allowed to post pictures on here at the moment ? It used t be not so.
If they are, what is the procedure ?
I have done a ton of work on my car over the last coupe of winters, but it is pointless posting without pics.
A build / modification thread always garners interest and comments, by restricting picture posting the forum is doing itself no favours.
