289 Cobra at Classic Motor Hub

Post by Sarge »

I was with friend yesterday buying a car from the guys at the Classic Motor Hub at Bibury, and they have this beauty in stock at the moment.
Interesting history, converted to 427 then back to original 289 spec.
Love it!

I wouldn't say no if Santa was to drop it off :D

You never ask Santa how much things cost!
Cheers, Clive.

I thought the usual phase was ‘if you need to ask the price then you can’t afford it.’
It would be interesting to know I must confess.

This is (or was?) Mark Morgan's car, I do believe. Good to see it returned to (almost) original spec, although can't help wondering what it would look ike on painted 6J wires!

Hi Colin

Yes that is my car...
It would look a little odd on painted wires TBH, especially with the 427 flares she still wears.. I have kind of grown to love the outfit she is currently wearing!! There are still many things i need or needed to source to take back to correct spec, Some of these are either made from unobtainium or with far to many zero's on the price tag. An original McCord tank for instance.. yes i could fit an "aftermarket" one and yes this would fool 50% of the people but i don't do repro..
