Just putting it out here that the customer service from Spiyda is superb. I have a pair of these Lucas LED light inserts. I had a fault where the side lights would come on, but when the brake was pressed the light would go out.
I got in touch with Chris - he asked me to post it to him and I had a repaired unit back within three days. You just can't get that kind of service in many places these days. If you're thinking of upgrading to LED rears, I can recommend.

+1 for Spiyda, prompt service when I needed a new rear light when I cracked mine. Sent the board back and they installed it in a new unit pronto.

+1 for the great service from Chris at Spiyda.
I had similar issue at one point and Chris turned it around in about 3 or 4 days.

I have had my rear LED lights from Spiyda for a while now. The increased safety over the previous tungsten units is chalk and cheese.

Perhaps it's quieter roads up here but I have never felt unsafe with the original Lucas 542 rear lights. The output is more than adequate especially with the aluminium reflector back boxes. If it rains heavily or there is a lot of spray then I will use my LED rear rain light.
Cheers, Clive.

I’m sure you are right Clive. We have at 4x as much traffic as around your area. I am mindful of Colin Newbold having been rear ended twice. Plenty of busy dual carriageways and motorways to need better lighting plus the cavalier attitude to driving.
The younger generation seem to drive the same as they do on their X Box. Without any fear.
Yep, I’m sounding like an oldie.

Re: Spiyda service - great
I bought some of these a while back and never fitted them as I didn't want to dismantle the existing Lucas lights.
I do vaguely remember Clive (I think it was) nearly running up my chuff in LMC 2010 whilst we were driving to a BBQ against the setting sun. Maybe I should get them down off the shelf!!

Not guilty My L'd. This was long before the sun set on that day!
Cheers, Clive.

Aye, there was a high casualty rate that year!
