I know the lad who owns this car and its had a fortune spent on it in the last year, new 302 full of nice bits, a new top loader, re wired, fresh paint, lots of nice detailing etc. It's a really nice car.

Chaps - I don't know if you know, but I have an experimental Cobra price tracker spreadsheet going. Am trying to put in the prices and specs (as far as I can tell) in as I come across things for sale.

The car at the top of this thread was for sale in Feb 2019 for 60K, but is now up for £75K.

There was another Hawk (FAV220C) up for 75K with Duncan Hamilton earlier last year, but then it dropped to about 60K nearer the end of the year.

I'm not sure what any of this tells us about car values, but it is interesting to keep an eye on.

To find the price tracker, log in to the members area, and you will find it as the first menu item on the 'Members Content' menu. Please drop me a note when you see other cars up for sale and I will add them.

Cheers,
Andy

Thanks again Simon. Normal white powdercoat only resits up to approx 300C and is used for guns etc but not for exhausts.
I will have a deeper look into Zircotec.

- what Simon said - as far as I know, that's for a fully loaded car. More here; https://db427.com/

I spent quit a lot of money having my headers zircotec-coated in their top spec white finish.
Looked beautiful when I got them, but anything you accidentally spill on them, sticks like sh*t to a blanket. I had an oil leak on a first few runs out, and now have some horrible stains I can't remove. A few drips of blood from catching fingers while wire wrapping the header bolts etc...all a bit of mess. When I eventually go for paint I'll pull them and re-spray with BBQ paint - would have been a cheaper solution from the get go.

They do a nice shiny black finish which is cheaper and probably stands up to real use rather better.
