I've been patiently waiting for mine from Gerry for six months now.
Good luck!
I thought about just getting some block huggers, but i'm told they need too much modification to make it worth the effort.

Hi James,
If it's any help, when I had a similar wait I saw JR Fabrications on Wheeler dealers or similar. I didn't use them in the end as I'd already paid for mine but their work looked good on the telly.

Good luck,

Ok thanks - it’s just for an engine test on stand, so may get some of the cheaper block huggers for now ....

Just a plug for JR Fabrications - they made the system for my 289, although not the headers which are cast.
The intermediate collector was very difficult to do as modern technology does not seem to do 90˚ large-radius sweeps easily. Nevertheless the system is beautifully made, and apart from being stainless it is a very close copy of the originals. I upped the flange thicknesses to 3/8" as the originals warp very easily - I provided JR with these flanges having had them made at a very reasonable price by a water jet company.

This was the pattern they worked from (and you really don't want to know what this rusty, bent old bit of metal cost me):

That's a nice bit of fabrication Roger, thanks for sharing.

I ended up purchasing a set of Headman Mustang headers as it's just for an engine test stand.

Regards
James

When I had my Hawk, I had difficulty removing the exhaust due to the downpipe having rusted and seized in the clamp fitting to the headers. I tried three or four different block hugger types of aftermarket manufacture, but none would work as they required substantial modification. Basically the collector flange was positioned directly above the main chassis tube and only 2-3 inches above it. They would work on an AC/Kirkham car as the original main chassis tubes are significantly closer together than on the Hawk - the Hawk exhaust downtubes go inside the chassis tubes, whereas the originals go outside.

Hi Roger, thanks for that.
As I'm still waiting for my manifolds from Gerry (now over 6 months) I was considering modifying some block huggers again.
Following your comments maybe I won't.

It's such a long time ago, I'm afraid I can't remember which ones I tried - I think they were Hedman and JBA. I sent both back to Summit in the end, I think. A pity because JBA are beautifully made - I have a big-bore set of shorties on my Mustang - and come ceramic coated and didn't need a single hammer clout. They were only about $4-500, which is usually the cost of the ceramic, and still look as good after 15yrs and over 40k miles as when they were fitted. My old Hawk always had Gerry's headers on it (and presumably still has), so I must have worked out a fix for the Hawk headers.
