There was a particularly bad looking car about 10 years ago claiming to be an AC made by 'Iconic' I think.
I thought that must have been a licensed product?

-noticed the pics seem to show an exhaust pipe, no under-bonnet view and the dashboard pics do not seem to show the rejig needed for an e-Cob.
This what I meant - was this AL ?

Aah yes. The Ironic! Just another of many fantasy projects, like the one to rebadge Smart Roadsters as the AC Ace... πŸ™„πŸ€”

As far in informed! there was a licence in Germany, i know the name, but he didnt start production, he tryed to sell his licence again, he only used the licence to produce Cobra items like badges caps etc.

'AC' must be the only company that make an electric car that accelerates slower than the old petrol one.....

To quote from the page in the link:

'The AC Cobra Series 1 is a true, yet improved, recreation of the AC Cobra, being provided with a modern, emissions-free electric powertrain. The other version set for release is the AC Cobra 140 Charter Edition. It is fitted with the high-powered, 2.3-liter engine that is used by Ford in its latest Mustang model.'

I've highlighted one phrase. Please draw your own conclusions.

There's so much wrong with all this, I don't know where to start.

I wonder what the conversation was in the 1960s when someone decided to put a American Ford V8 in a British sports car. I may not like it, but it's "progress". :(
Cheers, Clive.

There's all sorts of things I could have quoted, like 'true', 'accurate'...

And don't get me started on the cynical stance of the motor industry to get everyone to buy a new car that is powered by electricity, and yet no greener than what they want us to throw away, because I'll go on for hours. And you really, really don't want that, I get very, very boring. Maybe that should be more very, very, boring...

...And now, for the bargain price of Β£720,000 ( including VAT), you can have your very own electric 1963 Le Mans Cobra!

https://www.accars.eu/models/ac-cobra-le-mans-electric/

With twice the power of the β€˜Series 1’ EV, and AC Heritage-built, you’ll have to be quick, as they are only building 6 each of 2131 & 2142!!!
But, you can choose either in left or right hand drive...why not make 39PH the rhd & 645CGT the lhd versions...πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ )

You could buy an ACTUAL Thames Ditton AC 289 for that money, today...WITH CHANGE...🀯

(Please....make it stop...πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”)
