It will probably provide someone with a nice car at a competitive as there is no reserve.
Shame they don’t give a few more details. BHP, mileage etc.

Mileage is 11,151 as at last MOT in Feb 2020. Currently no MOT but taxed until Dec 2022 so I'm assuming it is MOT exempt. (Although that is a rather grey area.)

Cheers, Clive.

I must confess I didn’t think a re registered car could still be MOT exempt but I have come across another a while ago.
As you say - a grey area.
In the early days pre SVA there was a bit of confusion by both owners and the DVLA on what to call the new car. I guess it’s possible that a few crept through on the original reg numbers which would help with that. Certainly the description BRA- MGB was common.

This paragraph takes away the 'greyness'

Under substantial change criteria ; -

However, if a vehicle meeting one or more of these criteria is taxed as a ‘historic vehicle’, and it has not been modified during the previous 30 years, it is exempt from needing an MOT.

So if a historic registered car was converted prior to 1992 then it won't need an MOT ?
That infers my Cob won't need an MOT in 2030. Hmm. I would have to read up the other criteria.

My Cobra does not 'need' an MOT, but it will always get one.
It's a professional examination of the car at the time of the test, why would you not have it done ?
Beats crawling about under a car, and with the new shake rattle and roll systems to check all the joints I reckon it's money well spent.
