T289R South East – Biggin Hill and Shoreham Museums
September 5 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm£5
In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, T289R South East is planning a gentle tour taking in both of the two small museums at Biggin Hill and Shoreham Village, and the St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance at Biggin Hill, which record the heroic actions of RAF service personnel and aircraft associated with the momentous air battles over Kent in September 1940.
Meet at the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum café at 10.00am, or at the Shoreham Aircraft Museum around 12.30 to 1pm. Both museums are quite small but have nice cafés – or in the case of Shoreham, a tea room and tea gardens!
Biggin Hill Memorial Museum,
We will drive from Biggin Hill to Shoreham Village around midday. Parking in Shoreham is restricted and we will aim for the car park on the High Street, a short walk from the museum:

As a bonus, the Shoreham Aircraft Museum is hosting the Red Baron and fellow 1917 re-enactors on Saturday and Sunday.
Please contact John Coward if you are coming, as I have to book our numbers for a timed visitor slot at Shoreham.
Face coverings are required inside the museums.
